Although it has been a short week we have still been very busy in school both with children learning and with staff training. Some of the ‘Whistlejacket’ work is really taking shape including some huge pieces in each year group bubble. I wonder what they will be?
We are all looking forward to a planned visit to school on Monday 10th from some Police Horses. They have quite a walk planned to get here due to our lack of parking but we can’t wait to find out more about the job they do and speak to the police officers who work with them.
Monday the 17th is our ‘Day at the Races’ when we have planned exciting events through the day including a special ‘Races Lunch’! We hope everyone will be dressed up in their best outfits or maybe even as a horse or jockey!
Running our Breakfast Club through this year has been a challenge and, to be able to do this within our Covid risk assessment, we use more staff than usual. As a working parent, who relies on this sort of provision, I felt very strongly that we needed to maintain this support at a reasonable cost. We also appreciate that many families have had changes to their working arrangements during the last year and childcare needs have altered. From now on, please let school know if you wish to cancel a booked day or week at the email address email@example.com. This helps us keep our costs low and staffing numbers correct.
The usual reminders are still in place at those busy collection and drop off times. Please wear a mask and keep a social distance from others. We always appreciate your support.
Have a fabulous weekend.
