School Update - 22nd January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you are all well as another week ends. Thank you so much for the commitment and enthusiasm shown by both our children and parents. Some brilliant learning has been posted on Class Dojo this week. We also like to know about any other achievements or things our children are proud of. Riding a bike? Baking a cake? We miss hearing the exciting things they normally tell us about so please share those too. There will be some whole school activities coming up for families to get involved in if they wish. Keep looking out for those.

Zoom lessons continue to be well attended and we hope they are enjoying their learning. The teacher usually changes weekly, as the other member of staff in the year group is in the Critical Worker/Vulnerable Bubble in school. Even if it’s not your child’s usual teacher it is still their lesson. If you can’t make a lesson please let your teacher know and they will record that on our registers. Links will be republished each week. They should not be new links but will be easier to find at the top of your Dojo stories and you Inboxes! Don’t forget to join our virtual golden time and dance sessions on a Friday afternoon. We’ve loved the siblings joining too.

Staff will continue to make calls home to children in the next few weeks. Some calls may come from an unknown number if staff are using their own phones. These calls are around supporting you and your children and to identify what we can do to help.

This week school has received its ‘Lateral Flow Testing Kits’ which you may have heard about in the press. This means, from next week, STAFF will test themselves twice a week and this aims to improve the safety of our school for all. We have to be mindful that 1 in 3 people do not show symptoms of Covid and the worst-case scenario means, as is always the possibility, an in-school bubble has to close. We would aim to give parents as much notice as possible if this was to happen, but we ask you to keep an eye out for emails and notifications from school.

If you need any help or support from our school team please contact teachers, in working hours, through Dojo or the school by phone or by email at

Have a wonderful weekend.

Mrs Blythe
