School Update - 30.04.21

Dear Parents/Carers,

Hopefully, your children will have talked about their learning based on the painting above this half term ‘Whistlejacket’. This week we are sending a letter about our upcoming ‘Day at the Races’ on the 17th of May and the virtual exhibition using our work, which will be held in the last week. This letter will be available on Dojo and will be emailed out to parents.

We are also sending out design sheets for the annual ‘Design A Badge’ competition held by the WOW team. who, using the travel tracker, encourage our children to travel to school in the healthiest way possible. The winning entry has the chance to have their design made into the badge that children all over the country will receive. A really exciting prize! Once children have completed their design, please bring them in and give them to the class teacher.

Please remember when collecting children from school that staff will not release a child unless the parent is next to them on the pavement. As I am sure you will appreciate, their safety is always our priority and by collecting them right from the gate we can ensure they go directly to their adult.

A reminder of our shortened week next week with Monday 3rd May as the bank holiday and Thursday 6th May an INSET day when the school will be closed to all children.

I am also delighted to let you know that I have been appointed to the role of head teacher at Ryecroft permanently from September. I look forward to continuing to build positive relationships and, with all the staff, ensure our children achieve their full potential.

Have a fabulous long weekend.

Mrs Blythe
